Basic Information
What is QUTRIT?
It is a desktop application for Windows and macOS that integrates two generative AIs, Google
Gemini and OpenAI ChatGPT, enabling dialogue between three parties including the user.
What is the difference between "Self-Serve Mode" and "Managed
Mode"?
"Self-Serve Mode" is a mode where you use your own API keys, and you pay usage
fees directly to each AI provider. "Managed Mode" is a mode where no API key is
required, and you can use it immediately by just paying a monthly fee.
What is an "API Key"?
An "API Key" here refers to a secret key for communicating with
Google and OpenAI. By communicating, you can send questions to each AI model and receive
answers. However, establishing communication and displaying answers from AI generally
requires programming. QUTRIT is exactly that program. In "Self-Serve Mode," if you set
the API key in QUTRIT, you can start conversing with each AI model immediately without
developing any program. If you are not sure... you can use "Managed Mode".
Can I use it for free?
Yes. Both modes offer a free trial. Although there are functional limitations, please
try out what a 3-way dialogue is like.
How many hours can I chat in the paid plan?
In Self-Serve Mode, you can chat unlimited. However, in Managed Mode, the number of conversations and the time available depend on the scale of processing performed by the AI, such as size of documents or number of web pages you ask AI to read. For example, when using a lightweight model for short and simple conversations, the Standard Plan is designed to allow approximately tens of thousands of interactions per month.
Is there a smartphone version?
Currently, only the desktop version is provided, and there is no smartphone
version (iOS/Android).
Does it support languages other than English?
Currently, it supports Japanese and English. It automatically detects the language at
startup, but you can freely switch between Japanese and English from the settings screen
afterwards.
Features & Specifications
Where is conversation data stored?
All conversation data is stored only on your computer (locally). Conversation history is
never stored on cloud servers, ensuring high privacy.
Are API keys stored safely?
Yes. Your API keys used in Self-Serve Mode are encrypted and saved in the OS-standard credential store
(Windows Credential Manager / macOS Keychain)
Is an internet connection required?
Yes. An internet connection is required to perform AI inference processing
(communication with APIs). It cannot be used offline.
What is "Personalized AI Knowledge"?
It is a feature that allows you to share your documents (PDF, text, etc.) or internal wikis with the AI, enabling it to answer based on your specific context. It is useful for connecting internal manuals, project files, etc.
In QUTRIT, you can share any local folders on your PC, or connect cloud services like Notion, Confluence, and Jira. The AIs will be able to reference files or pages on them as needed.
Will the AI overwrite my files or cloud data?
No. Since QUTRIT is designed to "support high-quality decision making," it strictly grants Read-Only access to the AIs. They can only read the files or cloud pages (like Notion) you explicitly connect. They cannot modify, delete, or create any new files or pages.
What kind of data can be shared for Personalized AI Knowledge?
You can share local files such as PDF, Office files, text files, and program code, as well as cloud data like Notion pages, Confluence wikis, and Jira tickets. In particular, the AIs understand visual information in PDFs, such as graphs and charts.
Difference between Personalized Knowledge and File Attachment
Files attached within a chat are only used within that specific chat. The AI does not reference attachments from other chats. On the other hand, the Personalized Knowledge (connected folders or cloud tools) functions like a dictionary that the AI can look up cross-chat as needed. Best practice is to use both: attach files for one-off questions, and connect folders/cloud tools for long-term project data.
Where is the shared data stored?
All data from your shared local folders is stored only on your computer (locally). Data retrieved from cloud tools like Notion is only accessed temporarily when needed to generate answers. Your data is not stored on our cloud servers, ensuring maximum privacy.
Can QUTRIT generate images or videos?
No. In QUTRIT, both Gemini and ChatGPT only output text.
Mastering QUTRIT
What exactly is a "3-Way Chat"?
It's an experience like having you, Gemini, and ChatGPT all in the
same chat room. You can have the AIs exchange opinions with each other, or talk with
just one of them if you prefer. You have the freedom to decide when each AI speaks.
What is "Cross-check"?
Imagine getting a second opinion from another expert. You can have
one AI (i.e. ChatGPT) verify and evaluate the other AI's (i.e. Gemini) answer, which can lead to more developed ideas
or make it easier to spot AI-specific lies (hallucinations).
Why does the AI always seem to agree with me? (The "Yes-man" problem)
Most AI models are trained to be helpful and polite, which can sometimes lead to "Agreeability Bias"—the tendency to favor the user's opinion rather than providing a critical or objective analysis. While it is difficult to eliminate this behavior entirely due to the nature of LLM training, you can improve objectivity by framing your prompts differently.
Pro-tip: Don't reveal your hand first.
- Bad example (often leads to flattering answers)::
"Here’s the plan I made. I think it’s good. What do you think?"
→
The AI tends to agree with the user and praise your plan.
- Better example (more objective)::
"Our business partner proposed XYZ. Please evaluate whether this is beneficial for our company"
→
By positioning yourself as a neutral party, you trigger the AI’s "analytical assistant" mode, leading to a fair evaluation.
Also, QUTRIT has "Two AIs". QUTRIT is uniquely designed to solve this problem by featuring two distinct AI models in one workspace. By having Gemini and ChatGPT debate each other, the system naturally dilutes individual model biases and reduces people-pleasing tendencies. We encourage you to let the AIs cross-check each other’s logic to reach a truly objective conclusion.
